Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior construction experience, particularly with single-family homes, and a proven track record of effectively managing multiple construction crews. As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing project timelines, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful completion of our residential projects.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple construction crews and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards
- Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, address any issues or concerns, and provide guidance to on-site teams
- Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources
- Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, reviewing invoices, and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to procure materials and negotiate pricing to maximize project profitability
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality standards
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to provide updates on project status, milestones, and potential risks
- Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on single-family residential projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and industry best practices
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Experience working with budgets and financial analysis, with a focus on cost control and profitability
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred)
