  • Application Development and Sustainment: our technologists define, design, prototype, and continuously improve digital solutions to meet clients’ needs and enhance customer experience. 
  • Mission Support: We provide high-quality staffing solutions to help our clients meet their mission, reduce operating costs, and improve operations. 
  • Contact Center Solutions: Fueled by cloud based artificial intelligence and machine learning, we implement next generation contact center solutions, purpose built for each client. Our contact center solutions range from current state assessments, roadmap development, technology implementation and sustainment, and full outsourced operations. 
rockITdata is seeking a proven sales professional with 7 years of experience selling strategy and IT consulting services to the Federal Government. This position will require the ability to think strategically but be able to act tactically. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be a true leader.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Engage in the federal government’s market research process to continuously qualify opportunities, enhance the governments acquisition strategy, and increase rockITdata’s win probability.
  • rockITdata’s company goal is to build a qualified pipeline of $4B, and win $650M of new business (funded and unfunded backlog). The right candidate will drive this growth.
  • Arrange meetings with potential clients and introduce the appropriate rockITdata leadership member to assist in the sales process.
  • Continuously scan the Federal opportunity tools and databases to determine which opportunities fit rockITdata’s capabilities.
  • Pursue new opportunities, capture associated requirements, and share with rockITdata’s management team for approval to proceed.
  • Lead proposal processes from end to end:
    • Define buyer values
    • Create stakeholder/power map
    • Create win themes
    • Perform basis for award analysis
    • Develop method for delivery
    • Delegate reply responsibilities
    • Ensure cohesive and complete response
  • Test win themes and rough order of magnitude (cost) with prospect.
  • Identify and sign-on strategic partnership, including Teaming Agreements with the “right” partners.
  • Maintain sales stage and opportunity updates in rockITdata’s pipeline application.
  • Build organizational capacity with others while acting as a motivational coach to grow other team members.
  • Collaborate with rockITdata’s contracts department to ensure all NDAs, RFIs, RFPs etc. are completed in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the marketing team to ensure rockITdata’s website, and social media outlets reflect our Federal past performance and capabilities, while also developing promotional materials that effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients.
 
Required Qualifications 
 
  • 7 years of experience selling strategy and IT consulting services to the Federal Government
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence – both external and internal stakeholders
  • Significant experience in relationship-building with a track record of success
  • Superior complex problem solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proactive workstyle with the ability to develop strategies, plans, and get ahead of opportunities
  • Proficiency with GovWin, and federal opportunity tools and databases, including MS Office
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Experience managing an opportunity pipeline in SharePoint
  • Experience with multiple federal agencies
