Overview:

Government Street Christian School is seeking a dedicated Middle School Teacher to join our Christ-centered team as a 6th Grade (Self-Contained) Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for young students.

Duties:

- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the requirements of the school's curriculum and the Alabama State Course of Study

- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation

- Assess and monitor student progress to provide feedback and support where necessary

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience

- Communicate effectively with parents to discuss students' progress and address any concerns

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of elementary education principles and techniques

- Ability to teach various subjects including Bible

- Experience in mentoring and guiding young students in their academic, personal, and spiritual development

- Proficiency in public speaking and writing to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues

- Familiarity with education administration practices to contribute to school-wide initiatives
