Description:

We are seeking a skilled, positive, trustworthy, enthusiastic, friendly and motivated individual for the Sales Associate position to join our team on a seasonal part time basis that could possibly lead to full time. As a Sales Associate you will be responsible for selling Gelato, Sorbet, and specialty Gelato Sandwiches at the Gelato Cart.

Expectations & Responsibilities:

• Warmly greeting customers with a smile and providing superior customer service to all customers in a polite and expedient manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle a high-volume of customers
• Sell Gelato, Sorbet, and specialty Gelato Sandwiches at the Gelato Cart
• Arrive to work on time and dressed as required
• Ability to enter orders accurately into the point-of-sale system. Confident to work a cash register and manage cash operations
• Accurately issue receipts, refunds, credit, or change due to customers and process transactions in a timely fashion
• Comply with food handling, sanitation, and storage regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and other team members
• Take daily inventory
• Ensure Product quality by performing temperature checks
• Maintaining knowledge about the company and the products in order to address customer questions
• Professional dress and appearance and a positive attitude
• Other duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

• Approachable, outgoing, excited, and professional
• Ability to operate a cash register, and credit card machine
• Ability to accept guidance and supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, team members, and leadership
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time, perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift, carry, move, and/or position items weighing 20 - 30 pounds
• Ability to work in outdoor conditions while taking precautions, including hydration and sun-protection

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
