Gorilla Commerce is Hiring an Accounting Intern Near Westport, CT
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support the Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing.
- Collaborate with the finance team on budgeting and forecasting efforts, analyzing financial trends to support business decisions.
- Participate in the end-of-month closing process, including account reconciliations and journal entry preparations.
- Engage with and manage third-party platforms, including Amazon Seller Central and Shopify, to understand financial performance and investigate inquiries
- Contribute to the implementation of new accounting software or systems, including data migration and system testing.
- Engage in financial analysis projects to optimize spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program with a focus on accounting, finance, or a related field, graduating in 2025 or 2026.
- A basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- This internship is based in Westport, CT. You will be required to be in the office Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and work from home on Thursday and Friday.
- This is a 10-week, 40 hour per week paid internship.
