Goodwill Talentbridge is seeking a temp to hire CNC Machine operator for a premier client in Grayslake!

Shift:

1st Shift and 2nd Shift roles open

Pay:

$18.00-$21.00 based on experience

Summary: Set up and operate a variety of CNC (computer numerical control) machine in order to produce products according to the customers’ specifications.

Responsibilities:

· Perform CNC machinery set up functions by using basic programming commands. Make adjustments to programs as needed.

· Understand specifications required to fabricate products by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings and other drawings and written material.

· Prepare and load materials onto the machine.

· Perform tooling changes, as needed.

· Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, gage pins and tape measure.

· Conduct inspections during the production process to verify product meets specifications.

· Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.

· Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.

· Responsible for following safety rules as well as using safe procedures.

· Keep all tools and supplies in their work area put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Maintain clean and organized work areas.

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Experience running multiple machines at a time

-Proficient in CNC Machine set up is a must

· High School diploma or equivalent.

· Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.

· Mechanical aptitude.

· Mathematically literate.

· Communicate effectively.

· Knowledge of various types of equipment and processes such as:

o Air and power tools

o Rulers, tape measures and gages

· Ability to work independently.

Physical Requirements:

· Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.

· Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.

· Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

· Work performed in a shop environment.

· Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
