This position reports to the Manager, Accounting Operations and has responsibility of timely preparation, analysis, and reconciliation of financial information. This position will ensure proper accounting through accurate and timely recording and reconciliation of revenue and expense, asset, and liability accounts. This role is responsible for and will be held accountable for behaving in accordance with divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provide assistance with the monthly close process:a. Prepare journal entries to establish assets and liabilities, accrue revenue and expenses in accordance with accrual accounting standards.b. Prepare journal entries to amortize prepaid expense assets to ensure expenses are recognized in the period incurred.c. Ensure adequate back-up documentation is attached as support for all journal entries recorded.

2. Perform monthly reconciliations:a. Prepare and maintain schedules for balance sheet asset and liability accounts ensuring the trial balance is tied out to the subsidiary ledgers, reports or other contract roll forward schedules.b. Prepare and maintain schedules for prepaid expense asset accounts which details beginning balances, additions, amortization and ensure the ending balances per the schedule are tied to the trial balance.c. Ensure adequate back-up and support is attached to all Balance sheet reconciliations.

3. Provide assistance with maintaining and improving financial and operational systems and help with other accounting initiatives and projects.

4. Adhere to internal controls as well as policies and procedures of Goodwill.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Serve as a back up to the Sr. Analyst for processing wires, ACH and vendor portal payments.

2. Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager/Controller and Director of Finance.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in accounting required.

2. Excellent organizational skills, self-starter, detail-oriented, solutions driven, positive attitude, ability to multitask and work in an evolving accounting department is essential.

3. Knowledge of various aspects of accounting related functions and software packages.

4. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

5. Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

6. Strong Financial System Skills

7. Excellent analytical skills with great attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel / Word skills.

Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience with Great Plains a plus, however not required.

2. Public accounting experience is a strong plus, however not required.

3. CPA candidate is a plus, however not required.

4. Experience working with large amounts of data and excel macros is a strong plus, however not required.
