Job Summary : Responsible for scheduling and completing, on a priority basis, all maintenance needs of the housing project, as well as the overall housekeeping and appearance of the common areas of the physical facility.

• Performs routine building maintenance for the project : plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating and air conditioning.
• Performs routine daily housekeeping chores within the common areas of the facility to include the offices, laundry room, hallways, community room, kitchen stairwells, and public restrooms.
• May maintain the lawn to include : mowing, weed eating, edging, fertilizing, mulching, and trimming.
• Performs routine daily housekeeping chores in the common areas of the project to include the offices, laundry rooms, hallways, community room, kitchen, stairwells, and public restrooms.
• Responsible for the Janitorial / Housekeeping Inventory. Tracks usage and provides maintenance supervisor and / or housing manager with a monthly inventory status.
• Maintains the janitorial equipment in good clean, safe and workable condition.
• Adheres to agency requirements outlined in the Hazard Communication (HazCom) and Exposure Control Plans for the project.
• Completes a Daily Physical Housekeeping Inspection Checklist.

Job Requirements : High school or GED graduate; or equivalent in work experience. Six months to one year experience in building maintenance, preferably in an apartment complex.
