Position Summary:

Our vision is to revolutionize the space-based payload market with innovative and novel designs for space, terrestrial, and airborne environments. GEOST is an operating unit of LightRidge Solutions.

GEOST seeks an enthusiastic and highly capable Senior Program Manager with recent experience in successfully delivering systems to customers. Experience in managing programs including electronics, software and EO sensors on space or ground systems is desired. The successful candidate will lead efforts for space and ISR, and research and development of new and novel technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage schedule, cost, risk, and resources over the full course of highly technical projects.
  • Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Lead team(s) of engineers in planning and executing test events and resolving issues encountered, both operational and technical.
  • Work proactively to complete tasks and meet assigned deadlines with little direction.
  • Communicate effectively with team members across disciplines, with project management, and particularly with customers.
  • Lead program and customer meetings and reviews.
  • Lead technical interchange meetings with the team members and other project personnel and represent the organization in matters pertaining to project development. 
  • Develop Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for projects.
  • Support proposal and ECP efforts as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in management of technical projects for the US Government.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, engineering, physics, mathematics, or computer science.
  • An active US Government Top Security Clearance is desired.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience performing and working in a dynamic and high-visibility role.
  • Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to lead a team to the completion of program and project milestones.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills and sound problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to support travel or off-site work as needed.
  • Hands -on expertise with active optical systems.
  • Experience with terrestrial or space EO systems, test plan development, astronomy, physics, electronics, software, and/or remote sensing.
