$64k - $70k - *Non-exempt, hourly salary range.
As a Quality Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality management system (QMS) as per ISO 9001-2015. This includes document creation and control, tool calibration, internal auditing, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts. Additional areas of focus include and are not limited to the following:
  • Maintaining measurement tool calibration schedule and compliance within all departments, including 3rd party vendors.
  • Performing in-house tool calibration as requested.
  • Driving continuous improvement in the QMS system, SharePoint.
  • Maintaining ISO documents per ISO standards.
  • Developing operation procedures, work instructions and forms as needed to support the QMS.
  • Performing internal quality audits.
  • Striving to promote product and process improvements, in addition to departmental improvements.
  • Supporting, tracking, and recording department level corrective action activity.
  • Managing QMS reporting and support cross-functional improvements in QMS.
  • Managing vendor recovery, working with suppliers and analyzing trends related to warranty failure.
  • Credit memo processing and maintaining dealer quality records in warranty system.
  • Creating service department KPI updates and reports, reporting distributor service KPI’s.
  • Managing warranty trend analysis, and data mining.
  • Assisting with other projects as assigned.
  • Following all safety guidelines as outlined along with department and corporate policies and procedures.
LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • At least 3 years of Quality Assurance & ISO 9001 experience.
  • Associates and/or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred, not required.
  • Working knowledge of standard measurement and calibration tools, along with failure analysis tools such as Six Sigma, Fishbone, 5-Why, and Lean principles.
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certification & Internal Auditor Certificate required – or at the very least, must be willing to obtain within the first year of employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites; SAP S4 Hana – Tableau – Power BI is a huge plus!
  • Ability to analyze data, problem solve, and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills.
