The Opportunity!

At Goodwill Industries of Central Florida, as a Talent Specialist, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting of all positions in the assigned area. Major duties include attending job fairs and community events, assessing staffing needs, building relationships with hiring managers, generating candidate pipelines, networking with multiple employers, driving recruitment via social media, and following federal, state, and/or local employment laws regarding recruiting.

A Day in the Life of a Talent Specialist!

You will find yourself:

  • Conducting full-cycle recruiting for all positions in your assigned area.
  • Ensuring that all recruiting activities (screening, interviewing, closing offers successfully, onboarding process) are achieved within the determined timeline and are in compliance with federal, state and/or local employment laws.
  • Administering pre-employment screenings including but not limited to references, assessments, driving history checks, background checks, and drug tests of all new hires and promotions within assigned areas.
  • Maintaining consistent communication with management teams on the status of job vacancies and department needs.
  • Attending job fairs and community events.
  • Hiring qualified talent into the organization.
  • Working in collaboration with other departments, including Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Total Rewards, and Workforce Development.

Qualifications


Physical and Environmental Work Conditions:

  • Regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
  • Sitting and standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic).

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of full-cycle recruiting/human resource experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of electronic applicant tracking systems is preferred.
