We’re looking for a barback to play a crucial support role at Goodsurf. You'll assist bartenders with various tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You’ll help maintain cleanliness, restock supplies, and assist bartenders.

What You’ll Do:

● Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks by stocking and replenishing supplies, such as glassware, garnishes, ice, and beverages.

● Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down counters, cleaning spills, and emptying trash bins.

● Retrieve and refill beer kegs, liquor bottles, and other beverage containers as needed.

● Prepare garnishes, such as fruit slices and cocktail skewers, for use in drinks.

● Replenish napkins, straws, and other bar essentials throughout the shift.

● Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service.

● Clean and sanitize bar equipment, including blenders, shakers, and utensils.

● Monitor inventory levels and communicate with bartenders or management when supplies need to be reordered.

● Provide support to bartenders during busy periods by helping to take orders, process payments, and deliver drinks to guests.

● Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests and coworkers.

What You’ll Bring:

● Previous experience as a barback or similar support role preferred.

● Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

● Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects, such as cases of beer and bags of ice.

● Attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.

● Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

● Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

● Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

● Familiarity with basic bartending techniques and drink recipes is a plus.

● Willingness to learn and take direction from bartenders and management.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
