Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Norcross, GA

Full-time position available for experienced Medical Assistant in a Christian nonprofit clinic. Position reports to Back Office Manager. Candidate MUST be a fluent English and Spanish speaker and willing to participate in our outreach ministry activities. Duties include:

  • Perform all assigned patient care duties:
  • Escort patients from waiting room to complete vitals and intake
  • Perform all Point of Care testing (urine, strep, HCG, etc.) and bedside glucose testing
  • Perform ECG testing
  • Assist providers as needed as a chaperone or for a procedure
  • Process lab requisitions for blood, pap testing, STD testing, and any other samples, swabs or cultures
  • Collect and organize all specimen collections, ensure correctly labeled and placed for pick up
  • At the end of the day, clean and organize clinical area
  • Dispose of bio-hazardous materials
  • File patient charts and items to go into charts
  • Stocking supplies in exam rooms, triage, lab, and patient bathrooms

Candidates with phlebotomy and pharmacy tech experience are encouraged to apply. DO NOT CALL.

POLICY ADVISORY: All employees are required to provide evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or documentation that provides an exemption from this vaccination mandate. All employment offers are conditional on receipt of the required evidence of vaccination or exemption.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
