Summary:

Goldschmitt and Associates (G&A) is seeking a motivated Payroll Analyst. The ideal candidate will be able to work with multiple entities across multiple platforms, supporting 500 employees. This position will be remote. Preference will be given to candidates who reside on the East Coast of the United States.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine accounting activities such as maintenance of the payroll general ledger and help with preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports
  • Review, code, and verify transactions and journal entries
  • Complete moderately complex calculations
  • Audit and verify timesheets and payroll
  • Reconcile payroll accounts, process accounts payable and receivable transactions as needed
  • Cross train in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and provide backup support to AP/AR
  • Will be responsible for supporting multiple divisions and separate entities
  • Other duties as assigned

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Flexibility to changing business needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess at least 1-3 years of related experience
  • Possess proficiency with Excel and Adobe
  • Possess United States citizenship due to federal contracting accounting requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possess an Associate's Degree in a related field or equivalent additional experience
  • Possess prior experience with JAMIS
  • Possess prior government contracting experience, including experience involving the Service Contract Act (SCA)
