Golden Apple Transportation is a small transportation business in Deerfield Beach, FL. We are a professionally operated and family-owned company that provides both school and coach bus transportation for schools, camps, weddings and various other events.

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Manager to oversee and manage our transportation operations. As the Transportation manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective movement of personnel and vehicles throughout our organization. This is a management position that requires strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and transportation management.

Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Organizing and managing all routing, busing, reservations, charters, hiring and screening of drivers, storage, and all other aspects of transportation.
  • Analyze, develop and implement transportation strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs and optimize logistical procedures.
  • Reviewing and preparing routing reservations.
  • Ensuring our drivers are on time and driving in a safe manner.
  • Monitoring all costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Addressing and resolving transportation issues as they arise.
  • Liaising with schools and clients.
  • Making sure the company is in compliance with all DOT, city, county and state regulations.
  • Answering customer queries.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Degree in business administration, logistics or related field preferred.
  • Experience in fleet management, including vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • 2 years of experience in logistics management preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite and able to learn logistics software.
  • Good management and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
