JOB TITLE: Home Loan Compliance SpecialistDEPARTMENT: Home Loans OperationsSTATUS: Non-ExemptJOB CODE: 1313PAY RANGE: $20.10 - $24.00 Hourly GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Responsible for reviewing pertinent application information to ensure accurate file disclosures and re-disclosures are delivered to the consumer within regulatory requirements. Effectively review and monitor HMDA data for the Home Loans Department. Follow Golden 1 procedures to ensure the credit union’s state and federal regulatory compliance within the Home Loans Department. Provide compliance support to both the production and fulfillment team. Serves the credit union’s members by ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of information pertaining to their loan terms and legal rights. TASKS, DUTIES, FUNCTIONS:Apply a working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing Golden 1’s Home Loans Fulfillment, including RESPA/TILA (TRID), HMDA, ECOA, OFAC, E-Sign Act, AML, GLBA, and BSA.Complete initial disclosures accurately, review for validity and disclose within Service Level Agreements and Regulatory Disclosure Requirement timeframes.Complete re-disclosures accurately, review for validity, and disclose within Service Level Agreements and Regulatory Disclosure Requirements timeframes.Identify, troubleshoot and resolve compliance errors in the Loan Origination System.Perform critical HMDA reviews on all Originated and Advertised loans on a daily and monthly basis.Monitor and comply with all established security, compliance, internal audit and applicable government policies and recommendations when communicated by Home Loans Management.Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Home Loans Department products, including investor policies and procedures.Monitor individual workflow pipeline queues to ensure that the daily production requirements are met.Provide basic technical support and guidance for the e-Signing process, both for members and Home Loan Advisors.Communicate to the Home Loan Compliance Support Manager any recurring trends or identifiable inadequacies in the Loan Origination System.Provide excellent service in all interactions with members as well as internal partners.Perform data entry in all appropriate systems regarding problem resolution or complaints.Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to credit union compliance including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering laws appropriate to the position.Assist with other duties or special projects as assigned by management.PHYSICAL SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXERTION UTILIZED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THESE TASKS:Effective oral and written communication skills required.Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate an on-line computer terminal and other standard office equipment, such as financial calculators, personal computer, facsimile machine and telephone. Aptitude to learn quickly, use analytical skills and solve problems.Aptitude to learn quickly, use analytical skills and solve problems.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, deadline driven team environmentAbility to maintain knowledge of processes involving 1st mortgage and equity transactions.ORGANIZATIONAL CONTACTS & RELATIONSHIPS:INTERNAL: Home Loans Department, branch staff, and other departments.EXTERNAL: Borrowers/Members, title companies, real estate agents, investors, appraisers, and various other vendors.QUALIFICATIONS:EDUCATION: Successful completion of High School curriculum is required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Encompass360 preferred.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Ability to multi-task in response to volume and process requirements.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Prolonged sitting throughout the workday with occasional mobility required.Corrected vision within the normal range.Hearing within normal range.
