Bilingual School Psychologist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual School Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills in both English and Spanish, enabling effective collaboration with students, families, and staff members from diverse backgrounds. As a Bilingual School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic development of students, while also providing culturally responsive services and interventions.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized intervention plans and support strategies for students.
• Provide counseling and therapeutic services to students experiencing behavioral, emotional, or academic challenges.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress, share insights, and develop appropriate intervention plans.
• Advocate for the diverse needs of students and promote inclusive practices within the school community.
• Serve as a resource for teachers and staff on issues related to student behavior management, social-emotional learning, and mental health support.
• Conduct outreach to families, including providing resources and facilitating communication between home and school.
• Stay current with best practices in the field of school psychology, including attending professional development opportunities and engaging in ongoing learning.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring data.

Qualifications:

• Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
• Colorado Department of Education certification or eligibility for certification as a School Psychologist.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
• Experience working in educational settings, preferably with diverse student populations.
• Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and evidence-based interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Commitment to cultural competence, equity, and inclusion in education.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines governing school psychology practice.
