Job Profile

The Ramp Services Agent is responsible for the safe and effective completion of all ground services tasks in accordance with company and Federal regulations. This includes: the loading and unloading of cargo, and use of ground services equipment to move the aircraft.

The Ramp Services Agent is a part -time position with both morning and afternoon shift availability. The Ramp Services Agent must be comfortable working in inclement weather and able to work various shifts dependent on the operational need.

Your Responsibilities

Ramp Service

• Follows all applicable federal, state, airport, and company policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of safety and security are maintained while working around aircraft and ground service equipment. 
• Works cross functionally with internal departments and external vendors to ensure safe, and on-time flight departures.
• Works both independently and as part of a team to accomplish tasks.
• Manages unexpected changes in a time sensitive and stressful environment. Remain calm and professional in any situation.
• Operates all power and other ground equipment, including push backs, tugs, tow bars, etc. to complete Aircraft Operations. 
• Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags and cargo labels. 
• Load, unload, and deliver passenger luggage, air cargo, wheelchairs, and strollers to the appropriate claim area or recipient. 
• Accountable for reporting all equipment malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor/manager.
• Comply with Air Shuttle Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
• Flexibility to work varied shifts based on the needs of the operation (days, nights, weekends, and holidays).

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working in an aviation environment is strongly preferred
• Ability to speak, read, and understand the English language
• Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
• Able to work in a manual environment and repeatedly lift up to 32kg throughout a shift. 
• Ability to understand and react to verbal and visual commands and safety warnings, with and without assistance of sight or visual aids
• Self-motivated team player
• Ability to operate computer systems proficiently and learn new systems quickly.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather

Additional eligibility requirements

• Must be able to pass a Non-DOT pre-employment urine drug screen and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance
• Requires an unrestricted driving license 

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements

• Authority to work in the United States
• Must be able to obtain a Non-SIDA airport badge by passing a background check
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check in compliance with TSA Security Program Standards and 49 CFR 1544.229 and 49 CFR 1544.230

The hourly rate range for this position is $14.50-16.50 DOE.
