Pro- Health Urgent Care is Searching for Medical Assistants:

Full-Time/Part -Time positions available.

Medical Assistants facilitate the overall business operations of the clinic. Ultimately, ensuring steady workflows and uninterrupted service in our medical facility. Benefits offered after 90 days of employment .

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Rooming patients
  • Preparing patients for examination
  • Taking medical histories
  • Proper documentation of all patients
  • Explaining treatment procedures to patients
  • Assisting the physician during exams
  • Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
  • Performing basic laboratory tests
  • Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician
  • Transmitting prescription refills as directed
  • Drawing blood, Start I.V drip
  • Taking electrocardiograms
  • Removing sutures and changing dressings
  • Taking X-ray
  • Ensure patient satisfaction
  • Inventory Medical Supplies (each shift)
  • Check expiration dates of medicines (as scheduled)
  • Transmittal of medical Lab and X-Ray readings as needed.
  • Arrange for hospital and laboratory services

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Welcome incoming patients

  • Using computer applications
  • Collect and Monitor co-pays.
  • Maintain copies of frequently used forms
  • Updating and filing patient medical records
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Handling correspondence from start to finish
  • Maintain Clean and sanitized environment
  • Reliable attendance
  • Inventory office supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations and laws
  • Control removal of medical waste in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Keep track of equipment and devices

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Medical specialties:

Schedule:

  • 12 hour weekdays (2 to 3 shifts a week )
  • 8 hour Sat-Sun
  • Holidays (reduced hours 1.5 pay)
  • Open 365 days
  • Alternating weekends

Experience:

  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Injection, Blood Draw, IV, (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Work Location: Gaylord, MI

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
