Candidate must have experience caring for someone with ALS (Lou Gehrig Disease):

Family in Winter Springs, FL is looking for a soft spoken and mild-mannered caregiver, for their family member diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). The schedule is Monday - Friday, 30-40 hrs per week 6 hours a day, 6 days a week (this is flexible if candidate is willing to be flexible with weekly schedule in general and weekend. Hourly rate: $23-25 per hour. Candidate must have experience caring for someone with ALS, have experience w/sponge bathing, lifting client and assisting him in and out of bed, meal prepping fresh juices etc., and light housekeeping. Must be a driver with a clean background and DMV record and ok with reining these checks upon hire, family does not have any pets. Flexibility to work weekends or additional days as needed but NOT a dealbreaker.

Responsibilities:

- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Administer medication under the direction of a nurse or healthcare professional
- Help with meal preparation and household tasks
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

Experience:

- Experience in caregiving roles A MUST
- Knowledge of ALS care practices
- Familiarity with patient care procedures and vital signs monitoring
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
