Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management and accounting practices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Process bi-weekly hourly payroll for multiple restaurant chains accurately and timely
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations working closing with our PEO
- Assist with benefits administration, ie reconciling health insurance invoices, open enrollment, 401k, etc.
- Perform data entry tasks related to payroll and benefits administration
- Analyze payroll data to identify discrepancies or issues
- Collaborate with the HR department on payroll-related matters
- Respond to restaurant inquiries regarding payroll such as: payroll discrepancies, direct deposit requests, onboarding issues, open e-verify cases, vacation eligibility
- Issue one off checks as needed
- Complete employment verifications
- Assist accounts payable with vendor maintenance
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator processing hourly payroll is a must
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and regulations
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with internal teams
- Ability to appropriately prioritize work with varying deadlines
- Restaurant experience a plus
