HDPE Fusion Technician

We are seeking a hard-working Fusion Tech to join our rapidly moving team operating McElroy portable and tracked machines. In this position you will need to move between various tasks through the day, which means you will need to be able to move confidently and fluidly between interactions with members of your crew.

Candidates MUST have the following qualifications:

• 3 years’ experience fusing HDPE pipe from 2 inch to 36 inch
• 2 years experience fusing 20 inch and larger pipe
• Willing and able to work overtime
• Ability to lift 75lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
• Walk on uneven ground and rough terrain, this is also a “working” position
• Able to work in all extreme weather conditions (sun, heat, rain, snow)
• Must be able to travel out of town
• Must be team oriented
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Class “A” CDL
• Ability to follow all OSHA standards and company safety policies
• MUST pass a pre-employment drug test and background check and continue to pass ongoing drug and alcohol testing per company policy

The following certifications are preferred, but not required:

• Certified Class I Fusible PVC
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 hour course training
• Certified Machine Operator
• 1st Aid / CPR

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Experience:

• fusing 20 inch or larger diameter pipe: 2 years (Required)
• Underground utility: 4 years (Preferred)
• Pipe Fusing: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• CDL A (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Preferred)
