Annual Compensation: $110,000-$120,000 DOE

Overview The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of assigned projects while providing a single point of contact. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation (cradle-to-grave approach). Projects include but are not limited to: new start-ups, operation expansions, base moves/closures, integrated healthcare, application development, security, mergers & acquisitions and special projects assigned by leadership. Senior Project Manager is responsible for interfacing with all functional departments/groups associated with the project. Defines project strategy/scope and objectives. Develops detailed project plans, call schedules, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings to ensure project(s) remain on target and within budget for “Go Live”. Ensures adherence to quality standards and project deliverables. Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.
Summary / Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all project documentation through the lifecycle of the project. Documents including but not limited to: project intake documentation, requirements definition, project scope, project success criteria, scope approval, project plans, resource plans, and project cost estimates.
- Responsible for resource allocation, resource time reporting, management and availability reporting.
- Coordinates project efforts and activities to achieve agreed timelines and budgets.
- Works closely with technical team and PMO manager to best align resources with business needs.
- Understands and coordinates activities with and between multiple internal departments within the company, including HR, Finance, Business Development, Communications, Operations, Revenue Cycle and others.
- Produces accurate and complete project documentation including but not limited to: Requirements definition, scope documents, statements of work, project schedules, communication plan, staffing plans and requests, status reports, issue logs, test plans and test plan results, and project budgets.
- Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Project Planning
- Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior management
- Create a detailed work plan and project charter which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
- Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project
- Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities
- Review the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion
- Resource Planning
- In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities
- Manage project staff according to the established policies and practices of the organization
- Implementation
- Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
- Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
- Control the project
- Monitor, approve and report all budgeted project expenditures
- Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)
- Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
- Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
- Formulates and defines technical scope and objectives of project.
- Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
- Prepares project status reports and keeps management, clients, and others informed of project status and related issues.
- Directs quality assurance testing.
- Manages multiple projects using formal project planning techniques, including development of budgets to successfully support each project successfully.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.

- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with executive management, business units, vendors, suppliers and customers, and internal teams
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leadership, groups of managers, clients, customers, etc.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Resourceful in a fluid business environment with exceptional problem solving skills.
- Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.
Education & Industry Experience
- 8 years’ experience in project management, requirements definition and/or deployment of business requirements for information systems including demonstrated leadership skills.
- 5 Years in Information Technology efforts, such as Data Center consolidation, Network and Storage deployments, Telephony, IT application development, or IT integration projects.
- Healthcare project experience is a plus.
- Proven analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of project management practices, tools and methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field, and/ or equivalent work experience.
- PMP certification is preferred
