Responsibilities of a Bartender include:

• Setting up assigned bar(s)- requisitions and stocks of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice, produce, etc.
• Maintaining stock, preparing, curing and storing all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to insure product quality.
• Greeting guests at the bar in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Taking and/or processing orders for drinks. Mixing, garnishing, and presenting drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practices prudent portion control.
• Checking guests at the bar for proper identification.
• Detecting and acting upon guest inebriation as trained. Demonstrating knowledge of liquor laws.
• Receiving cash from guests, making any change needed, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and insuring vouchers are properly executed, in order to balance all moneys.
• Locking up and stores all beverage product, food and other equipment items, deposits, cash drops and secures bank.
• Performing general cleaning tasks to adhere to health and safety standards; keeping work area clean and organized.
• May arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area
• May wash and sterilize stemware.
• Maintaining alcohol inventory and orders
• Creating specials as needed
• Completing other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements of a Bartender:

• High School Diploma or GED; or bartending technical school; or one year related experience and/or training.
• Previous Bartending experience required.
• CPR/1st Aid Certification preferred.
