GLEASON RESEARCH ASSOCIATES, INC. is Hiring a System Administrator Near Huntsville, AL
FLSA Classification: Exempt
ONSITE
Position Summary:
This position is full-time at 40 hours a week. The employee will maintain and administer the GRA LAN. The employee will be responsible for IT related work for all GRA employees and workstations. Employee will be tasked with workstation upgrades, workstation patching/security and ensuring day-to-day IT operations runs smoothly. The employee will be the interface between staff and senior level network and system engineers.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Provide desktop support and administration of workstations and printers
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Azure AD architecture, infrastructure, and management
- Knowledge of Server OS and group policy
- Knowledge of Office 365 architecture and configuration
- Familiarity with IT security, layer 3 switches, routers, and firewalls
- Responsible for backup of workstations
- Work with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience/Skills/Education:
- Associates degree in Information Systems or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant technology experience required
- Exceptional communication skills and professional judgement
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and follow through
- Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision
- Ability to work with senior level network and system engineers
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NIST 800-171 and CMMC requirements
- Security preferred but not required
- Programming skills a plus but not required
- Knowledge of VMware ESXi a plus but not required
Additional Requirements:
- This position may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
