An Excellent Opportunity

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, supporting the monthly and annual close process, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This position reports directly to the Controller and involves a range of responsibilities, from managing general ledger accounts to collaborating with various departments for financial analyses.

Here’s What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage the general ledger.
  • Prepare:
    • Monthly journal entries for depreciation, amortization, and payroll;
    • Bank and investment reconciliations;
    • Monthly revenue reconciliations;
    • Monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Assist Controller in annual audit and Form 990 prep.
  • Work with department managers on financial reports and analyses.

Is this you?

  • Have experience with and a love of the GL
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Nonprofit accounting experience would be very helpful (but not a must)
  • Self-motivated and efficient with independent work
  • Teammate who wants the group to succeed
  • Great written and oral communication skills, including explaining financial concepts to non-financial minds
  • Excellent in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Can effectively prioritize and execute multiple projects
  • Problem-solver
