Giordano, Glaws & Fenstermacher, LLP is a full-service defense litigation firm that represents major corporations, business enterprises, institutions, and insureds throughout New York State. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented full-time Paralegal.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a law office is required, preferably in an insurance defense firm.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.

· Experience with communicating with outside vendors and obtaining and maintaining medical records.

· Knowledge of the discovery process and trial preparation a plus.

· Oral and written communication skills along with strong computer skills.

· Precise attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Must be able to work independently and proactively; Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

· Team-based, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:

· Strong knowledge of NYSCEF e-filing, and familiarity with PACER.

· Independently draft discovery demands and responses.

· Independently draft motions and other pleadings.

· Must be able to e-file on NYSCEF and/or PACER.

· Summarize medical records, deposition transcripts and discovery responses.

· Assemble motions with exhibits.

· Assist with trial preparation.

· Conduct file reviews for outstanding discovery.

· Prepare, organize and forward material needed for expert witnesses.

· Obtain authorizations for medical records; contact providers to obtain records; scan/save records and films.

· Other tasks and projects as assigned.

Salary Range: $35,000.00 to $65,000.00. Salary is commensurate with experience. Please forward salary requirements along with your resume.
