Position Overview

As a Lead Designer, you will play a crucial role in our projects from conception through completion. You will lead a team of talented designers and collaborate closely with clients, project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure that each project not only meets but exceeds expectations. Your creative vision and leadership will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our firm’s reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the design process of projects, ensuring innovation, functionality, and sustainability are at the forefront.

· Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into compelling architectural solutions.

· Manage and mentor a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and inspiring work environment.

· Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of projects.

· Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and materials, incorporating them into designs and processes.

· Lead client presentations and meetings, effectively communicating design concepts and strategies.

· Maintain and update data to ensure budgets are accurate.

· Drive the assigned project selection schedule to meet objectives, the overall design and to lead clients to finalize selections.

· Assist with the maintenance and organization of the Design Group’s library.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Art or Architecture or a related field.

· A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential new construction and architectural design, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

· Experience with Software Programs: Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, IVY, InDesign, SketchUp, and Lumion.

· Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of projects, with a focus on both creativity and technical excellence.

· Capable of navigating and understanding construction documents.

· Confident in presenting and communicating regularly with clients in a professional manner.

· Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Strong artistic skills, including hand rendering and sketching capabilities.

· Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem solving.

· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
