JOB SUMMARY:
Support GRHC’s mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy. Directly supervises the preceptors in their role to provide the in-service needs of the facilities within their scope of practice. Ensure all programs for new employee orientation, preceptor training; nurses technical training, clinical services, clinical leadership and GRHC initiatives comply with the federal, state and local guidelines. Under the leadership of the Director of Dialysis will work to ensure high quality of care for all GRHC patients through competency-based training and development. Adheres to the GRHC Compliance Program and all regulatory and GRHC Policy requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse; BSN preferred
2. At least three (3) years’ experience in dialysis with one year as educator
3. Advanced education, CNN or CDN preferred

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Day to day work includes desk and personal computer work and interaction with patients, regional and facility staff and physicians. The position requires travel between assigned facilities and various locations within the community.
The work environment is characteristic of a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases/materials.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (IF APPLICABLE):
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the clinical training of all direct patient care personnel.
2. Implements, and may customize training programs to support the delivery of quality patient care as per the standards set forth in the GRHC policies and procedures.
3. Oversees the implementation process to ensure the policies and procedures developed by Clinical Support Leadership Team are consistently incorporated into facility practices.
4. In collaboration with the GRHC Dialysis Quality Team, responsible for driving GRHC quality standards through education regarding all ESRD regulatory and legal requirements and the practice of Continuous Quality Improvement.
5. Supports facility-specific quality goals and action plans, in order to achieve GRHC quality standards.
6. Collaborates with Clinical Managers in the scheduling implementation of training programs and processes as directed by the Director of Dialysis..
7. Responsible for tracking all employees on the GRHC Training Database, implementing training according to GRHC policy, including compliance with all GHRC risk management initiatives.
8. Responsible for assisting in addressing and acting on any adverse events and action thresholds as appropriate.
9. Ensures that all GRHC Clinical Quality policies and procedures are communicated to Clinical Manager and submission to Governing Body for approval and the subsequent appropriate training is implemented.
10. Ensures that individual facility needs are met by monthly in-services.
11. Tracks, collects and reports on data on educational programs (new employee orientation as directed by the Director of Dialysis in collaboration with the Clinical Managers..
12. Responsible for maintaining master schedule of all classroom activities, and provide follow up with Clinical Managers, Director of Dialysis as necessary.
13. Provides education and training to Clinical Managers, Directors and clinical staff on new technologies.
14. Educates the appropriate personnel regarding the maintenance of environmental integrity, including patient and staff safety, in both Unit facilities.
15. Educates the appropriate personnel regarding the maintenance of environmental integrity, including patient and staff safety of all facilities.
16. Educates the appropriate personnel regarding the integrity and safety of the facility water systems.
17. Participates in renal disease management programs as per GRHC Agreements
