Position OverviewWe are seeking passionate individuals for part-time, remote positions as Educational and College Admissions Consultants, as well as Pre-Professional Advisors. Successful candidates will play a pivotal role in assisting high school students and their families through the complex maze of college admissions, fostering a supportive and enriching experience. ResponsibilitiesWorking with Students: Collaborate with students and families to curate personalized lists of potential schools and colleges. Provide guidance throughout the admission process, including essay writing, applications, interviews, and scholarship opportunities. Monitor student progress and provide regular assessments, feedback, and academic support. Assist in curriculum planning, extracurricular activities, and time management skills. Guide students in academic and career path decisions, offering personalized mentoring and support. Manage a roster of students on a one-on-one basis, ensuring individualized attention and support. Working With The CompanyConduct group workshops and admissions clinics for students and parents. Contribute to content creation, including recordings, videos, blogs, and presentations. Brainstorm and research community service projects to enrich student experiences. Collaborate effectively within a team of counselors and student mentors. QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in high school or college counseling. Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. In-depth knowledge of the US high school and undergraduate admissions process. Strong subject expertise and familiarity with standardized testing. Excellent communication, writing, and public speaking skills. Tech-savvy with proficiency in web-based tools for student advising. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, particularly during peak application seasons. Membership or certification in relevant counseling associations is a plus. CompensationCompetitive rates ranging from $50.00 to $150.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
