Job Description
Accounting Clerk performs various accounting activities such as accounts payable, ledger entries, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports and other duties as needed. Is proficient with spreadsheets and other software tools. Has a basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles and possess an associate's degree in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance or equivalent.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process account payable invoices and statements and prepare checks for payment
- Reviews, codes, and verifies company transactions and journal entries
- Assist Accounting Department with preparation and maintenance of financial reports.
- Complete moderately complex calculations
- Communicate with vendors as needed
- File and manage billing related paperwork
REQUIRMENTS
- 2-3 years of experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping
- Associates degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Full proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Accounting related software (Oracle & Epicor)
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
