Overview:
Germania Maennerchor seeking a skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive and enjoyable experience for our guests. If you have a passion for mixology, excellent communication skills, and a strong attention to detail, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and making recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including restocking supplies
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling food and beverages
- Operate cash register or POS system to process payments accurately
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues or complaints
- Upsell additional products and services to increase revenue
Skills:
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating tips
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems
- Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Cash handling experience, including making change accurately
- Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate with other staff members
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and mixology techniques is a plus
