Department Information
The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech is part of a vibrant biomedical community in Atlanta that includes the Emory School of Medicine, Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Winship Cancer Institute, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA), Georgia Immuno-Engineering Consortium, Institute for Electronics and Nanotechnology, Petit Institute for Bio-engineering and Bio-science, and more. Job Summary

Perform entry level support activities within an Institute laboratory to include routine tests and examinations, providing assistance in experiment setup and recording data. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: faculty, staff and students. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Prepare and process laboratory samples

Job Duty 2 -
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment

Job Duty 3 -
Maintain files and records

Job Duty 4 -
Prepare for laboratory media/equipment demonstrations

Job Duty 5 -
Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies

Job Duty 6 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Two years of job-related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Technical Diploma, Associate's Degree or two years college course work

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

This job requires basic science background and basic knowledge of laboratory test procedures and equipment usage.
