Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Human Resources Intern at Sidel located in our Norcross, GA office. The Human Resources Intern will be responsible for assisting with various HR tasks and projects, including but not limited to HR management, talent acquisition, onboarding, policy development, employee benefits administration, and personnel management. The intern will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of HR and contribute to the overall success of the HR department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
  • Help onboard new employees, including preparing onboarding materials, coordinating orientations, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Support employee engagement activities and initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of HR-related events, training sessions, and workshops.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, answering phone calls, and managing correspondence.
  • Conduct research on HR best practices and stay informed about industry trends and legislation.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Strong interest in human resources and a desire to build a career in this field
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Human Resources practices and principles
  • Experience or coursework in HR management and HR policies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Familiarity with employee benefits administration
  • Ability to assist with personnel management tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
