Georgetown Events is a DC-based restaurant group looking for a Catering Operations Assistant to support our on- and off-site catering and events line of business. We are looking for a candidate who can move quickly and adjust to changing needs.

Assistant Responsibilities:

• Converting leads and inquiries via phone and email into catering orders and events for the Georgetown Events restaurant family: Jetties, Surfside, Millie’s, Due South, & The Bullpen
• Manage the order process to include BEO creation, menu selection, and internal communication with restaurants/kitchens. Maintain a high level of communication with the Sr. Director of Catering and Events and with restaurant managers/chefs.
• Work with the Sr. Director of Catering & Events to maintain and track the success of the strategic catering sales plan for the restaurants.
• Responsible for rebooking groups and applicable catering events through building strong customer relationships and providing consistent outstanding customer service.
• Responsible for ensuring stores that prepare catering orders have all the necessary supplies (stickers, boxes, menus, etc.)
• Assist team with event management as needed.

Assistant Requirements:

• Ambitious candidate with high personal goals and with a drive to provide excellent customer service. This job will give you the responsibility of ensuring the successful execution of a daily, outward-facing line of business.
• Strong desire to generate your own pipeline and follow through with clients. The candidate will need strong closing skills and an ability to turn leads/inquiries into orders and events.
• A committed team player with the ability to function both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build personal relationships with a range of clients, internal and external.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn CRM software quickly.
• Ability to reach out to people via many different channels.
