Smith Auto Group is searching for an Internal Service Advisor at George Coleman Ford in Travelers Rest, SC . SAG has been in business since 1938, and presently operates nine stores in four states, with significant additional growth planned. We are searching for talented and self-motivated individuals with a demonstrated work ethic to join our team.

The Internal Service Advisor (ISA) works with the used car department to recondition trade-in and auction vehicles in preparation for resale. The ISA writes repair orders, uses software such as iRecon/VAuto to communicate information between departments, and serves as a liaison between the used car department and the assigned technician, with a goal of completing the recon process in 72hrs or less. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Advises and recommends repair and/or service needs to the used car department
• Accurately documents the used car department's complaints for the benefit of the customer and assigned technician
• Communicates inspection results and recon progress with the used car department and service manager
• Makes recommendations to the used car department based on their needs
• Prepares a repair order showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service.
• Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the used car department
• Refers to service history, inspects vehicle, and recommends additional needed service
• Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts
• Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed, and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.
• Ensures that vehicles are parked in assigned areas. Makes sure they are locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
• Completes mandatory training as required
