Role: Talent Acquisition Partner

Role Summary:  We are looking for a Recruiter with full cycle recruiting experience to join our team. From talent sourcing, attracting candidates, to interviewing and ultimately hiring great employees to support our Federal Clients. You will also network online and offline with potential candidates to promote our employer brand, reduce our time-to-hire and ensure we attract the best professionals. Ultimately, you will build a strong talent pipeline, help hire awesome people, and help GISinc grow!

Responsibilities:

  • Own the recruiting process for the Federal Business unit which supports Federal clients such as Navy, NGA, Army, BLM to name a few!
  • Promote company & employer brand as the Largest Pure Play Geospatial Services & Solutions Firm in the Federal space
  • Source potential candidates on niche platforms, like LinkedIn, Stack Overflow, Cleared Jobs, GitHub, etc.
  • Write and post job descriptions
  • Parse specialized skills and qualifications to screen GIS/Technical resumes
  • Conduct pre-screening calls to analyze applicants’ abilities and company fit
  • Organizing all communications with candidates
  • Coordinate with Hiring Managers to forecast department goals and hiring needs
  • Craft and send personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Team to improve processes and services for candidate experience and internal process
  • Track recruitment KPIs, like time to hire, source of hire and time to fill 

Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g., social media recruiting and Boolean search)
  • Proficient using LinkedIn Corporate Recruiter
  • Applicant Tracking Systems are second nature
  • Hands-on experience with various interview formats (e.g., phone, Skype, Zoom, etc.)
  • Enough technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for technical roles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and federal contractor compliance
  • BS/BA in Human Resources Management, Psychology, IT, or relevant degree

Experience Preferred:

  • Knowledge of relevant employment laws and OFCCP compliance
  • Proven recruiting experience in the federal sector
  • GIS recruiting experience is a BIG PLUS

Competencies and Skills:

  • Must be a self-starter and able to create a sense of urgency!
  • Provide superior service and positive engagements both internally and externally
  • Effective communicator possessing strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skill
  • Good people instincts and no fear about following your hunches, in other words, you can tap into someone’s vibe!
  • Driven problem solver combined with natural curiosity and a love of learning

Work Environment:

  • Location is flexible: Headquarters in Birmingham, AL preferred but will consider WFH
  • Minimal travel required (< 20%) based on current guidance
