Geoff Meyerkord Law Firm, LC is Hiring a Personal Injury Paralegal (Plaintiff) Near Chesterfield, MO

Geoff Meyerkord Law Firm is a growing plaintiff's personal injury law firm with a focus on litigating serious injury cases. We are looking for a full-time on-site legal paralegal to join our team!

Qualified candidates are motivated self-starters who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is a position for candidates who are looking for a long-term commitment with opportunities for growth and a passion for helping those in need.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of the pre-lit and litigation process, from case inception to trial.
  • Conduct initial client intakes.
  • Accurately open claims with insurance adjusters.
  • Fully investigate each case by gathering and analyzing intake information and relevant documents.
  • Provide compassionate support and guidance to clients throughout their cases.
  • Manage clients' medical care and treatment by keeping in constant communication with clients and medical providers.
  • Order and review medical records and prepare medical chronologies.
  • Maintain and organize clients' electronic case files using our case management software.
  • Prepare, draft, and electronically file legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, such as processing paperwork, scheduling meetings, answering phones, and calendaring upcoming court hearings and other deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent preferred
  • 2 years of handling a high volume case load
  • 2 years of plaintiff personal injury experience
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology & procedures, medical terminology, and insurance terminology
  • Advanced computer & technology skills - including experience with legal case management software & Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written communication skills, including spelling, punctuation, and grammar
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and excel in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,034.89 - $55,439.88 per year
