Genesis10 is currently seeking a Solutions Architect with our Corporate Investment Banking Company client in their New York, NY location. This is a 12 month contract and hybrid remote position. This position requires 3 days per week onsite in New York, NY.
Summary:

• Modernizing 2 legacy mainframe systems related to payments to Java technical stack (1 at Line of Business level and 1 at Enterprise level).
• Currently in foundational setups/architectural decision-making process.
• The architect will be responsible for designing the core engine for each of the 2 platforms, designing the interfaces with existing enterprise and or line of business common services.
• They will coordinate with the Treasury Services architecture team and ensure the architecture design complies with the Bank's policies and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements.
• Complete and co/implement a configuration workbook.
• Co-team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements.
• Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document.
• Lead the UAT efforts.
• Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the Engagement Manager.
• Participate and lead, when needed, the project meetings with the customer.
• Participate in internal projects as required.
• Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in Cloud technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.
• Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to design and implement a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities.

Requirements:

• Role requires 7 years of architecture experience with a previous background in software/application development.
• Experience with Java frameworks and distributed systems.
• Should have hands-on expertise in some of the following technologies:
  • Java/J2EE, including SOAP, RESTful, .NET and related technologies (JSON, XML, etc), Common frameworks such as struts, spring, hibernate, etc. and Database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures).
• Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand the business requirements and converting them into solution designs.
• Knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints.
• Financial services, Banking, Payment systems a plus.
• Mainframe a plus.

Pay rate range: $80.00 - $90.00 hourly
