Genesis Consulting Partners, LLC is Hiring a Senior Cross-Functional Business Analyst Near Washington, DC

GenesisConsulting has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, forward-thinking SeniorCross-Functional Business Analyst with a passion for business transformationfor a Federal client in the Washington, DC area. Join our team and be part of utilizingbest in industry technologies to deliverand support applications for the Federal workforce. Our team leverages the conceptsof Lean, Agile, Kanban and SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) in our own work aswell as the value we bring to the client. The successful candidatewill be a part of a talented team working on an influential and challengingproject.

Duties andResponsibilities:

The Sr. Cross-FunctionalBusiness Analyst will join our team to support the program management and deliveryof a government-wide travel & expense system acquisition and implementationinitiative for a federal client using a single instance implemented at Agenciesthroughout the Federal workspace. This role will help define travel and expenseservices requirements and performance metrics, implementation planning,testing, transition, and Operations and Maintenance. An awareness of relevantFederal policies, T&E Federal Integrated Business Framework standards,research and fact-finding is especially useful for this position, and anunderstanding of applicable T&E commercial and Federal services isessential. Other duties may include but may not be limited to: 

  • Performanalysis of business and user needs, validate that business process servicesmeet those needs, and assesses performance to defined requirements andperformance metrics
  • Supportthe development and maintenance of business modeling, process modeling, andservice configuration design documents for the client initiative.
  • Conductassessment of current and future state needs and related gap analyses,providing corrective action, as applicable.
  • Preparesuser stories, evaluation, and test scenarios, support validation and usertesting requirements.
  • Documentrequirements, update process models, and provide inputs to projectdeliverables.
  • Support changemanagement and transition requirements and performance metrics for the ProgramOffice’s enterprise-wide service delivery with a focus on mitigating risks andsimplifying customer engagement information needs for successful InitialOperating Capability (IOC) to Full Operating Capability (FOC) milestones.
  • Support theteam’s cross-functional efforts including recommendations for working groupsneeded to facilitate the transition from IOC to FOC.
  • Support theteam’s development and maintenance of documents including contractdeliverables, acquisition and stakeholder artifacts, team knowledge management,customer experience, governance andcustomer working group documents, etc.

Requirements

MinimumQualifications/Experience:

  • 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, project management or similar role:
  • Defining businessprocesses
  • Workingwith Travel &Expense system applying business modeling, process modeling,and customer experience design techniques.
  • Demonstratinganalytical and industry relevant product management skills, including athorough understanding of interpreting customer business needs into operationalrequirements and performance metrics
  • Demonstrating analysisand documentation skills for creating end-to-end business scenarios for thedevelopment of test cases and execution
  • Bringingan attention to detail, flexibility in tasking, excellent verbal and writtencommunication skills and the ability to interact professionally andcollaboratively with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matterexperts

Desired Qualifications/Experience:

  • Gainingknowledge of the interdependencies of key business processes, functions, andrisks
  • Supporting transition from a decentralizedservice delivery model to centralized service delivery model with a cloud-basedsolution
  • Developing systemdocumentation and documenting requirements/traceability
  • Supporting transformational programsfor organizations of 2000 people
  • Supporting the delivery of large-scaleorganizational change management, or business transformation consulting toenterprise customers
  • Conducting assessmentof current and future state needs and related gap analysis
  • Agile/SCRUMexperience specifically in Story/Acceptance criteria development

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Required Certifications:

  • PMP, CSM, ITIL, and/or SAFecertifications preferred

Other:
  • Must be US Citizen
