GenesisConsulting is a leading ERP and Enterprise Agility firm combining innovative DigitalTransformation capabilities and enabling skills to provide industry-leadingsolutions to the federal government. Genesis Consulting is leading an advanced financialmanagement transformation at one of the largest federal civilian agencies that implementprograms designed to mitigate the significant risks of farming through cropinsurance, conservation programs, farm safety net programs, lending, anddisaster programs. The program encompasses integrating dozens of missioncritical financial applications to a modern SAP application operating in a FedRampCertified cloud, while reengineering business process, with the proper internalcontrols and educating the impacted users and organizations on the future digitalplatform.

 

Duties andResponsibilities:

The ProgramManager will be leading teams of up to 50 for Product Management Support forBusiness Process Re-engineering, Internal Controls, Organizational Change, andData Management for a Federal client. The successful candidate for the ProgramManager is to champion planning, coordination, and communication of themultidisciplinary/cross-functional team responsible for delivering a functionaland technical solutions, products and/or services as directed by the IntegratedProduct Team Lead. The ideal candidate will have practical experience inmanaging large-scale IT programs and be an excellent practitioner ofprogram/project management techniques, including Essential SAFe for performancemanagement, backlog management, integrated master schedules, integration ofproducts and solutions, and financial management.

  • Lead implementation of multiple, concurrent,cross-functional strategic IT programs and business process projects
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of projects includingdeveloping charters and work plans, structuring and mobilizing project teams,driving team accountabilities, managing stakeholder relationships, resolvingbarriers to successful project implementation, driving effective decisionmaking and delivering status updates/recommendations to senior management
  • Direct the development of project deliverablesthrough application of business process design/improvement expertise
  • Strategize with and advise project sponsor/businesslead regarding project direction and decisions. Effectively define the issue,offer recommendations and lead the team to agreed-upon actions
  • Develops overall product backlog and participatesin PI Planning and Inspect and Adapt sessions that accurately reflect the scopeof the work holistically and by initiative to ensure visibility and alignmentto organization priorities and team capacity allocation
  • Appropriately works with cross functional partnersto align resources against project needs and/or work collaboratively toidentify and address gaps
  • Sets clear expectations with the cross functionalteam for their respective role in delivering the defined project(s) on time andbudget; ensuring organizational transparency, accountability and riskmitigation
  • Responsible for ensuring quality control and legalinput is obtained during appropriate stage gate
  • Develop and deliver effective presentations tosenior management to communicate project updates and support effective decisionmaking
  • Mobilize teams, provide tools and examples, developwork plans, coach on project management skills, provide industry expertise,facilitate workshops
  • Lead and Champion the organizational understandingof and commitment to project management. Influence others through sharing ofexpert project management skills and building a project management excellenceculture where people excel at leading and participating in projects
  • Leverage program lifecycle management methods,tools and techniques to constantly monitor and report on progress ofproject/program
  • Develop and present reports defining projectprogress, problems and solutions
  • Implement and manage project changes andinterventions to maintain overall project/program schedule

Requirements

MinimumQualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 7 yearshands-on project management experience in the design and implementation ofcross-functional strategic ERP projects and business process initiatives
  • A verifiable historyof involvement in a leadership role for large scale, complex SAP or ERPprojects over their full lifecycle
  • Experience withdesigning, implementing and managing a program management office
  • Proven experience inleading, influencing and driving change management
  • Strong managementskills with proven ability to drive projects to successful completion-on timeand within budget are required
  • Experience inmanaging multiple strategic IT initiatives through their complete lifecycle
  • Experience in workingdirectly with and influencing senior management
  • Hands-on experiencedeveloping and applying project management tools and templates
  • Critical thinkingand problem solving skills
  • Strong influencingskills with proven ability to get things done without formal authority; abilityto build and maintain support and buy-in at all levels within the business
  • Exceptionalinterpersonal skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Required
