Duties andResponsibilities :

Asa Communications Specialist for a public sector organization youwill play a critical role in driving communication efforts relatedto technology transformation and modernization initiatives.

We areseeking a skilled communicator who can develop and executestrategic communication plans to engage stakeholders buildawareness and promote understanding of the organizations technologytransformation efforts.

This position offers an excitingopportunity to be at the forefront of shaping the narrative aroundour journey toward digital innovation and improved service deliveryfor the citizens of Minnesota.

TheCommunications Specialist will be responsible for creating managingand communicating content; messaging; and strengthening thecommunications skills and capacity of other team members.

Otherduties include but may not be limitedto :

  • Developengaging and impactful content for a variety of channels includingweb portals (SharePoint) articles blog posts and socialmedia.
  • Collaboratewith subject matter experts to create accurate and compellingtechnicalcontent.
  • Assistin crafting memos and other correspondence asnecessary.
  • PowerPointCreation / Graphics.
  • Developand implement internal communication strategies to keep employeesinformed andengaged.
  • Createcontent for internal newsletters announcements and companywidecommunications.
  • Manageand curate content for social media platforms to enhance brandvisibility andengagement.
  • Monitorsocial media channels for trends mentions and relevant industrynews.
  • Ensureconsistent messaging and branding across all communicationchannels.
  • Contributeto the development and maintenance of brandguidelines.
  • Coordinatecommunication efforts for events conferences andwebinars.
  • Createpromotional materials announcements and posteventcontent.
  • Provideknowledge transfer to the client and teammembers.
  • Developand implement comprehensive communication strategies and plans tosupport technology transformation and modernization initiativesaligning messaging with organizational objectives andpriorities.
  • Identifykey stakeholders including employees leadership governmentofficials partners and citizens and develop targeted communicationmaterials and channels to engage and inform them about technologyinitiatives progress andimpacts.
  • Assessstakeholder information needs and prepare communication planningmaterials outlining key messages methods and communicationsschedule by stakeholder interestgroup
  • Createcompelling content including articles blog posts newsletterspresentations videos infographics and social media posts tocommunicate complex technical concepts in a clear concise andengagingmanner.
  • Partnerwith change management teams to develop communication materials andresources that support organizational change efforts addressconcerns and promote a positive culture of innovation andadaptation.
  • Workwith the Executive and management team to conduct strategic andoperational project management and risk mitigation planning inrelation to change and communicationsneeds.
  • Preparerelated planning documents such as strategic plans andpresentations to help advance theinitiatives.
  • Supportchange management and business transitions activities asneeded

MinimumQualifications / Experience :

Provenexperience in a communications role preferably in a corporate ortechnologyenvironment.

Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills with a keen eye fordetail.

Stronginterpersonal and relationshipbuildingskills.

Familiaritywith social media platforms and digital communicationtools.

Abilityto work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamicenvironment.

5years of experience instrategic communication preferably in a public sector or largeenterprise environment with a focus on technologyrelatedinitiatives and changemanagement.

Strong writingediting and storytelling skills with the ability to distill complextechnical information into clear compelling messages for diverseaudiences.

Proficiency in avariety of communication channels and tools including MicrosoftOffice Suite content management systems social media platforms andemail marketingsoftware.

Excellentproject management and organizational skills with the ability tomanage multiple priorities deadlines and stakeholderseffectively.

Stronginterpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to buildrelationships influence stakeholders and work effectively in ateamorientedenvironment.

Experience withchange management principles and practices including stakeholderanalysis communication planning and resistance management is highlydesirable.

Familiarity withtechnology transformation and modernization concepts such as cloudcomputing digitalization agile methodologies and cybersecurity is aplus.

Demonstratedability to assess and influence senior administration officials andexecutive stakeholder perspectives with a goal for mitigating risksand engaging customer and stakeholder buyin.

Ability to thinkendtoend and provide insights from variousviewpoints.

Ability tosuccessfully work with and tailor messaging for senior leadershipaudience.

Ability to usecommunications and graphics to tell a story to different levels oftheorganization

Ability toeffectively manage complex messages and create easily understoodcommunication messages andmaterials

MinimumEducation :

Bachelors degreein communications marketing public relations or a related field;masters degreepreferred.

RequiredCertifications :

None.

Other :

Localto Minnesota candidates preferred; Remote candidates will beconsidered.

USCitizens Preferred but Green Card candidatesconsidered.
