** Senior Merchandise Manager**

The Merchandise Manager will manage the production process including placement, execution and follow up of all purchase orders ensuring timely delivery to our customers. You will work with colleagues, the sales team, and departments within corporate as needed to fulfill this obligation.

**Job Responsibilities:**

**Merchandising Support**

* Support production and design teams in troubleshooting commercialization.

* Resolve development concerns and provide suggestion for enhancement and modifications to designs and specs in order to maintain aesthetic while achieving financial goals.

* Develop and execute assortment plans based on extensive analysis of sales patterns, stock levels, and turn over ratios to meet customer needs and maximize profits.

* Implement company strategies to maximize sales, increase margin, and enhance customer relations.

* Work closely with SVP/GM on Licensing relationships, calendar deadlines, costing, commercialization and adoption of product for the Genesco Brands NY Portfolio.

* Partner with design and Development team to review product timelines and maintain licensing calendars.

**Production/Scheduling**

* Place and confirm production orders with our China Office. Match/Drop/POE.

* Manage production from PO to delivery to the distribution center or directly to the customer for our licensed brands portfolio.

* Inform sales team of any production delays that may cause delivery challenges.

* Review weekly production reports and analyze for issues.

* Issue Purchase order Revisions/Stock Revisions as requested.

* New Factory On-boarding.

* Work on any special ticketing and labeling instructions to meet customer requirements.

* Maintain Item Master including Costing and HTS coding.

**Bookings/Logistics**

* Obtain approval and confirm vessel bookings with China office.

* Update system with delivery timelines.

* As designated Inform Customer of delivery timelines and required documentation.

**Job Requirements:**

* Bachelors Degree in business or related field.

* 5 - 7 years experience in Footwear production and importation.

* Computer proficiency to include MS office, especially excel, MacOS, Gmail, Dropbox, and ERP.

* Ability to learn in house systems such as: M3

* Ability to work alone as well as a member of an entrepreneurial group.

* Ability to multitask with changing daily priorities.

* Highly organized.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skill

* Proactive problem-solver

* Superb attention to detail

* Ability to offer mind-time to issues during travel to and from work.

* Able to travel as needed.

* 3 -5 Days in Office required.

* Received full COVID-19 vaccine (must provide verification)
