Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Duties:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the emergency room
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient needs based on acuity
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and symptoms
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Respond to emergency situations and provide immediate interventions
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and preventive measures
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room setting
- Proficient in basic life support (BLS) techniques
- Experience in dementia care and managing patients with cognitive impairments
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Knowledge of health coaching principles to promote patient self-management
- Familiarity with case management principles for coordinating patient care across multiple providers
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations for maintaining patient confidentiality
- Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine for providing end-of-life care
- Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology
- Experience in maintaining accurate medical records and documentation
- Familiarity with operating CT scanners for diagnostic imaging purposes
