The gener8tor platform includes pre-accelerators, accelerators, corporate programming, conferences and fellowships focused on entrepreneurs, artists, musicians, startups and job seekers.

Responsibilities

gener8tor is looking for an Associate Accountant to join our rapidly growing team. This position will assist our Finance team with our day-to-day accounting activities and maintaining our financial records. As our Associate Accountant, you'll have an attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Carry out financial transactions and analysis.
• Process accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Assist our Finance team with annual budget planning.
• Assist our Finance team with developing and implementing processes and procedures.
• Review corporate credit card transactions and expense reports. This includes coding transactions to their correct expense categories, classes and budgets. You will also be responsible for following up with employees who have outstanding transactions.
• Support our Finance team to process payroll.
• Respond to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Own grant reporting.
• Support your gener8tor teammates across multiple programs.

Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Good problem-solving and time management skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel proficiency is a must).
• Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to diverse audiences.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a self-starter.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly independent environment and juggle multiple ongoing projects, responsibilities and relationships.
• Willingness to intensively and rapidly dive into understanding the needs of gener8tor's large and growing platform.
