GEM Technology is Hiring a Program Manager Near Ridge, TN

The program manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. The program manager will plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders informed the entire way. This is all done within the confines of a company's goals and vision.

Responsibilities for Program Manager

  • Manage multiple simultaneous task orders
  • Identify and vet staffing resources needed to reach objectives
  • Manage numerous staff augmentation teaming partners
  • Track project costs in order to meet budget
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Manage subcontractors by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
  • Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications for Program Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, engineering, or a related field
  • 10 years of program management (Department of Energy and ORNL related experience preferred)
  • Department of Energy clearance preferred
  • Staff augmentation project management experience
  • Ability to manage multiple task orders
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong organizational and spreadsheet tracking skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to complete manage up to 60 personnel
  • Part-time to full-time (depending on situation)
  • Must be local to Oak Ridge, TN and have prior experience working at ORNL facility.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
