As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Financial Communications Senior Manager to join our team.
The Financial Communications Senior Manager will be responsible developing and executing on comprehensive strategies that effectively convey GE Aerospace’s value proposition to key audiences – including the media, investors, analysts, and internal teams. This role requires a deep understanding of financial concepts, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience having worked directly with the media to shape both proactive and reactive stories.

The successful candidate will be a strategic and creative thinker who can envision the full picture, has an ability to manage multiple projects end to end, and is partnership minded.
You will work closely with members of the investor relations, finance, legal and business development teams in addition to senior business leaders across the organization to craft the narrative on GE Aerospace’s progress, performance, and long-term objectives. You will be responsible for producing and developing materials for earnings, investor events and annual reports; serving as a spokesperson with media on financial topics; and educating employees on the company’s strategic and financial updates. This role reports to the Senior Director, Financial and Corporate Communications.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to articulate the company's financial performance, goals, and initiatives
• Write and review financial press releases, earnings materials, presentations and other financial communications – working cross functionally with Investor Relations to coordinate and ensure consistency on key messaging
• Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries related to financial matters, providing timely and accurate responses and coordinating interviews with company executives as needed
• Collaborate closely with the finance team to translate financial data and analysis into actionable insights and narratives that support the company's strategic objectives
• Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to identify potential communication opportunities or risks and recommend appropriate responses
• Provide strategic counsel and guidance to senior leadership on financial communication matters, helping to shape messaging and positioning to enhance the company's reputation and credibility
• Stay informed about best practices in financial communication, corporate governance, and disclosure requirements, and recommend process improvements or enhancements as needed

Basic Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field from an accredited university or college
• A minimum of 5 years of professional communications or media relations experience at a public company or communications agency/ firm with a focus on financial communications
• Ability to travel 30-40% domestically and/or internationally as required based on the business needs

Desired Characteristics

• MBA from an accredited university or college
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all work products
• Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges, identify opportunities, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, financial analysis tools, and communication platforms; experience with investor relations software (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet)
• Strong ethical standards and a commitment to upholding the highest levels of integrity, transparency, and accountability in all aspects of financial communication

This position may be eligible for the following flexible work arrangements (FWA):

The base pay range for this position is $127,500-212,400. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on 5/29/2024.
