Our work depends on several Personal Computer Support Technicians joining our team to support Department of State activities on-site in Arlington, VA and Washington DC.
At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Personal Computer Support Technicians supporting a federal government customer, you will be trusted to support computers to include operating system installation, system configuration, troubleshooting and direct support to customers with software, and application problems.
HOW A Personal Computer Support Technicians WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems
Provides in person device issuance and troubleshooting with End Users
Tracks researches and responds to end user questions referred from Tier 1 analyst and Systems Associates
Coordinate with Cyber Monitoring and Engineering groups to properly notify or prepare end users of pending actions
Provide routine technical support in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures
Troubleshoots system hardware and software issues
Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
Performs basic software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
Ensures workstation / server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
Conducts basic hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED :
Education : Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
Required Experience : 1 years of related experience
Security Clearance Level : Minimum of interim Secret and clearable to Top Secret
