Gaylord Archival is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our team of ~30 skilled manufacturing and distribution co-workers.

Note: This is an on-site, full-time position in a climate-controlled warehouse and production facility.

We manufacture enclosures (sleeves, boxes, showcases) that protect, preserve, and display irreplaceable artifacts so they can be shared for many generations to come.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Production & Distribution Planning

• Develop and implement daily, weekly and monthly plans for labor, material and equipment

Optimize Quality, Productivity and On-Time Delivery Through Continuous Improvement

• Coaching and training
• Workflow optimization
• Material yield
• Preventative maintenance and equipment uptime

Safety Champion

• Daily leader on the Operations floor
• Proactively minimizes unsafe acts and conditions
• Key member of the Safety Committee

Partners with Other Departments

• Assists Sales & Marketing with quotes and makes samples as needed
• Works with Product Management to provide technical solutions and manufacturing estimates on new product development and potential insourcing opportunities

Leadership & Coaching

• Position has one direct report - Production Supervisor

Qualifications:

• 8 years of manufacturing leadership
  • Proficiency using ERP system(s)
  • Demonstrated success in leader operations with small run sizes of standard and custom parts
  • Proven ability to optimize productivity and quality
  • Working knowledge of 3-Axis CNCs, Paperboard Converting Equipment and Paint Booths
