ESS provides family-centered supports, including speech language therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and childhood education, to children aged birth to 3 years experiencing developmental disabilities or delays. Our services include a developmental evaluation, therapeutic interventions, guidance, instruction, referral to community resources and emotional support.In this role, the Physical Therapist provides transdisciplinary based, family centered services for assigned clients. QualificationsEssential Functions:For children assigned provide play-based, developmentally appropriate physical therapy as well as transdisciplinary therapies supported by other specialists such as OT, SLP, and educatorsDevelop transdisciplinary skills to enhance treatment of young children in the Early Supports and Service programProvide service coordination for all children assigned.Responsible for accurate and efficient documentation of servicesParticipate in team and staff meetingsDevelop transdiciplinary skills to enhance treatment of young children in the Early Supports and Service ProgramKeep abreast of discipline-related advances pertaining to children birth to age three via readings, conferences/workshops and participation in professional forums. Regularly incorporate information into day to day services and program development activities.After receiving appropriate training, will participate in evaluations utilizing the Hawaii Early Learning Profile, write reports of evaluations in a timely manner and create IFSP goals in the areas of communication cognitive delays, hearing impairments and social-emotional development.
